Dr. Michael A. Glass obtained a bachelor of science from University of Colorado in 1988. He attended the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, where he completed his medical studies in 1992 with honors (AOA top 10% honor society). Dr. Glass came back to Colorado for his residency training in urology at the University of Colorado, and joined Advanced Urology in 1998.
While in residency, Dr. Glass distinguished himself as an excellent surgeon and educator. He is highly regarded for his involvement in basic and clinical research, and has presented scientific articles at a number of national and international meetings. He has published a number of articles in the field of kidney stone disease.
Dr. Glass specializes in General Urology, Prostate Cancer, Kidney Stone and Stone Prevention as well as Kidney, Testicular & Bladder Cancer. He also has particular interest in the areas of Infertility and Female Stress Incontinence, as well as Nerve Sparing Prostatectomy.
Two new procedures have come out for the treatment of prostate diseases. Since 2004, Dr. Glass has been performing Laser Transurethral Resection of the prostate and Robotic Prostatectomy. Both procedures offer better patient outcomes with less pain.
Dr. Glass is on the clinical faculty at the University of Colorado. He is a member of the American Urological Association, American Medical Association, and is board certified by the American Board of Urology.
Dr. Glass lives in Denver with his wife and two children, and enjoys skiing, tennis, hiking, fishing and spending time with his family. |
