Dr. Mina S. Lee, formerly Dr. Mina S. Krishnamurthy, grew up in Florida and received her undergraduate degree from Florida State University. She graduated from the University of South Florida College of Medicine in 1998 and completed her residency in Urology at the University of Colorado in 2004.
After her residency, she spent some time in New York City, where she received specialized training in Female Urology and Neurourology with Dr. Jerry Blaivas.
Dr. Lee joined Advanced Urology in June 2005 and brings her expertise in Female Urology and Urninary Incontinence, Pelvic Prolapse, Neurourology, and Voiding Dysfunction. Some of the conditions that she most commonly treats include stress incontinence, urgency and urge incontinence, and other bladder control issues. She is also trained in placement of the Medtronic Interstim device, which is a bladder stimulator used to treat specific types of bladder conditions. Because of her specialized training, she is able to provide our patients with state-of-the art urodynamic testing to fully evaluate their bladder function prior to planning treatment. Additionally, Dr. Lee provides General Urologic Care, including treatment and prevention of Kidney Stone Disease, and diagnosis and treatment of Kidney, Bladder, Testicular and Prostate Cancer.
Dr. Lee is board certified by the American Board of Urology. She is also an active member of several professional associations, including the American Urological Association, the society for Women in Urology, and the Rocky Mountain Urological Association. She has published articles and has presented scientific research findings at various national and international meetings. In addition, she is still actively involved with the residency program at the University of Colorado.
We are very pleased that Dr. Mina Lee has joined our practice, and are confident that with her expertise we can offer our patients female urologic care, which supercedes local standards.
