Dr. Damian N. Sorce grew up in New York City. He received his B.A. Cum Laude from Amherst College and a M.S. Summa Cum Laude in molecular and cellular biology from Hunter College of the City University of New York. He then attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, where he was elected to the AOA Society (top 10% honor society) and graduated Cum Laude. He also received the Pittsburgh Surgical Society Surgery Prize for Medical Student of the Year. Dr. Sorce then returned to New York City for two years of general surgical training at the Cornell University’s New York Presbyterian Hospital, and completed his four years of urologic surgery training at the University of Colorado.

Dr Sorce joined Advanced Urology in September 2008. Besides practicing general urology, Dr. Sorce has a particular interest in minimally invasive treatments for a variety of urologic conditions. This includes laparoscopic urologic surgery of the kidney (laparoscopic nephrectomy, partial nephrectomy and pyeloplasty), cryosurgery for kidney masses and prostate cancer, nerve-sparing DaVinci Robotic Prostatectomy, endourologic procedures for kidney stones and urologic cancer, laser transurethral resection of the prostate for benign prostatic hyperplasia, and minimally invasive procedures for female and male stress incontinence. Dr. Sorce also offers a wide variety of urologic care including no-scalpel vasectomy, urethral stricture surgery, urologic prosthesis surgery, reconstructive urology, kidney stone prevention, voiding dysfunction and the diagnosis and treatment of kidney, bladder, testicular and prostate cancer.

Dr. Sorce strives for patient advocacy, doctor accessibility, and a personal touch to each patient relationship.
Dr. Sorce is a member of the American Urologic Association, the endourologic Society and the Rocky Mountain Urologic Society.
He lives in Denver with his wife and two children. He enjoys going to the opera, art museums and is an avid runner completing two NYC marathons and a Boston marathon. He also enjoys being in the mountains, skiing, camping and hiking.
